Mr. Menke has built his career in residential & commercial real estate by identifying opportunities and adding value to real estate development projects and investments throughout the State of Florida and Southeastern United States. Over his 30 years of business experience, he has developed a vast network of contacts in all areas of finance and real estate development. Through a multi-faceted career path, Mr. Menke has navigated a legacy of successful business investments and project developments as a commercial banker, licensed real estate broker, real estate developer, property manager, civil engineering company owner and as a LEED AP general contractor managing a team of 25 persons with over $20 million in annual revenues. During his career, Mr. Menke has been directly involved in the financing, transaction, land development and/or construction of over $350 million dollars in real estate projects, for a myriad of third parties, including his own account. He has personally been responsible for the development of over 1,500 residential units in his career and is also an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and regularly attends the Florida Conference and RECon national show.

In 2013, Mr. Menke co-founded with Stephen J. Rentz, GenMark Property Group, LLC, a Florida based real estate company focused on residential and commercial property development in Florida and select southeastern U.S. Markets. Their affiliate company, GenMark Capital is a private equity firm organized to complement development and identify new opportunities. Mr. Menke has leveraged relationships with national companies such as Taylor Morrison Homes, DR Horton, Wawa, 7-Eleven, Circle K and BMO Harris Bank to create opportunities for investment in ground up real estate development projects.

Mr. Menke attended the University of Florida (UF) where he graduated with a B.A. in Economics in 1990, was a member of Florida Blue Key and served as President of his fraternity, Sigma Chi in his senior year. After college, he was recruited by C&S Bank (Later NCNB) to join their Management Associates program as a Commercial Banker in St. Petersburg/Tampa.

Mr. Menke has lived in Sarasota, Florida with his wife Kellie and their three children for over 27 years. Over the last 20+ years, Mr. Menke has maintained an active role in the community as a volunteer and board member in several organizations including the South County YMCA, Cub Scouts (Pack 24 Cubmaster), Boy Scouts (Troop 50 Scoutmaster), Imagine Schools (Board Member) and the Church of the Redeemer where he co-directed the Men’s Ministry program. He currently leads the Path to Eagle program for BSA Troop 50 and has been instrumental in assisting over 25 Eagle Scout candidates earn the coveted rank of Eagle Scout in Sarasota County.
